Scores, reports and disputes
Your score refreshes once every 30 days per bureau. The dashboard shows the last refresh date and the next scheduled one. You can trigger one early refresh per billing cycle.
No. Checking your own score is a soft enquiry, which bureaus do not factor into scoring. Only a hard enquiry — raised when a lender assesses a live application — can affect it.
Each bureau receives data from a different set of member lenders and applies its own model. A lender reporting to Experian may not report to CRIF. Gaps of 20 to 60 points are normal.
Open the account and use 'Report an error'. Disputes go directly to the bureau, which must investigate within 30 days under the Credit Information Companies (Regulation) Act, 2005.

Usually the opposite. Closing an old card lowers your available limit — pushing utilisation up — and shortens average credit age. Keep older cards open unless there is an annual fee.
Late payments and defaults remain for up to 36 months from the reporting date. Written-off and settled accounts stay for seven years, and cannot be removed early unless factually incorrect.
No. Your report is fetched only with explicit consent and is not sold to third parties. Handling follows the CIC (Regulation) Act, 2005 and the DPDP Act, 2023.
